Billy

Billy's Story

What is God teaching you today:

Faith... believing God is greater than any weakness I may have.  Character... to learn how to stand and overcome challenges. Leadership... what a leader does and how to conduct myself. Failing... its part of life... seeing it no longer as a wall but as a stepping stone in life. Love... true love involves risk.

Greatest moment/victory in your life:

August 2011 when I left to go on a 11 month mission trip to 11 countries (The World Race). This trip followed the darkest moment in my life and brought immense healing as I lived in a spiritually rich community and experienced life in a way I could have only dreamed.

Darkest moment in your life:

Spring 2011. Lies, deceit, and betrayal are words that begin describe this season of life as the person closest to me inflicted the deepest pains of my life. Never had I imagined I would be in this situation but after 10 years of marriage it came to a painful end as I learned I could not control the choices of another person.

Future Goals:

Start a kingdom minded business that will fund the work of the ministry, feed the poor and spread the gospel. Move to the Philippines to disciple street boys to be followers of Christ and equip them in the everyday walk. Thailand... reaching an unreached people with the gospel. To establish a discipleship home here where they are equipped to reach their own people with the power of the gospel of Christ.

Most insane thing you have ever done/experienced:

Bungee jumping at the Nile River and being dunked waste deep.

Fun facts that people don’t know about you:

Keith Green is one of my heroes in the faith. I had a pet chicken growing up named.. Duhhhh. I was elected president of the chess club in high school but was too "cool" to take it seriously.

Favorite dish/dessert:

Wan tan mee soup from the street vendors in Penang Malaysia. And of course Pizza! Banana Cream Pie these days.
