Garrett's Story

What is God teaching you today:

Gratitude and living optimistically, moment by moment. Learning to battle, to abide to obtain more joy, so that fruit may abound, so that I can lay my head down on my pillow at night with a smile in anticipations for tomorrow.

Most insane thing you have ever done/experienced:

Leading Bible college students on a 30 hour drive from Hungary, through Ukraine, into Moldova, through icy and treacherous, Soviet semi-truck clustered, Carpathian mountain roads. The trucks move very slowly, so it was a must to pass them continually. It was pretty sketch.

Darkest moment in your life:

Saying goodbye to my mother in a hospital at age 14.

Future Goals:

To take over the world! Not really, but I’d like to live abroad again. Start a business that matters.

Fun facts that people don’t know about you:

Irish-American dual citizenship. I’m a red head step child.

Favorite dish/dessert:

Deep dish pizza & sush

Garrett's Favorite Scripture

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
— Isaiah 55:8-11
